Temper, temper

I’m sure all my fellow parents out there can agree – having kids is not for the weak! Sleep deprivation, no time for yourself, and attempting to meet the demands of the tiny terrorists living in your house; it’s no joke. I thought I would share with you some of the things that have caused our girls to have complete meltdowns over the past week or so. (I have a feeling this will be a recurrent topic good for a lot of laughs in the future). Here goes:

  • Me being out of her reach (she has to be able to touch me)
  • Ryan or I walking past her and not acknowledging her
  • Not immediately picking her up when I enter the room
  • Getting either of her sisters out of bed before her in the morning
  • Not getting her bottle the very same second her butt hits the highchair
  • Me not retrieving her bottle fast enough when she throws it on the floor repeatedly
  • Oriana eating off a spoon, because even though I fed Violet her food first, obviously Oriana is getting more than her
  • Not being able to suck her thumb and take her bottle at the same time (I mean, really, why is this not a thing that can happen MOM?!?)

  • Putting the baby gate up between the kitchen and living room to keep her from constantly crawling into the kitchen and getting into everything (this one prompted a good 15 minutes of lying in front of said baby gate and screaming)
  • Not being allowed to play with dog toys
  • Not being allowed to play with shoes
  • Being overly tired from refusing to nap
  • Uncle Josh looked at her (& they are best buds)
  • Attempting to get her to lay down long enough to change her diaper

  • Lying her down or picking her up
  • Putting her in her car seat, a swing, or a stroller
  • Feeding her or not feeding her
  • Putting on/changing her clothes (how DARE you, this is the ultimate way to infuriate Addison)
  • Moving her out of the one exact position she has decided she likes that particular day
  • Trying to get her to sleep
  • Baths (she hates them with a passion)
  • Either of her sisters touching her in any way (personal space, people!)

Mommy to 4 little girls & 2 fur babies. Just trying to survive the crazy. Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry, sometimes I need to scream.
